Aside from our producing partner, Kunverj, IAC is an entirely volunteer-run conference that relies on the generosity and hard work of its community members to deliver an exceptional event each year. Learn more about the individuals who are dedicated to making IAC24 the best year yet.
Co-Chairs
The Information Architecture Conference (and Information Architecture Summit before it) has made significant contributions to the field of information architecture and many related fields and disciplines. It is one of the oldest annual gatherings in the technology industry and, over the past 25 years, has helped launch careers, establish thought leaders, and produce volumes of work, as well as voluminous works on the field.
As we prepare to celebrate our 25th anniversary of gathering as a community, the IAC24 Co-chairs are committed to continuing many of the proud traditions that make the IAC such an exceptional event while also introducing new approaches that reflect our ability to grow and adapt to the world around us.
Volunteers
Below are the key volunteers that are generously donating their time and expertise to make this year’s conference the best it can be. We’re deeply grateful for their contributions.

Advisory Board
While the IAC has only been around since 2018, it draws on 25 years of rich tradition. One such tradition includes the volunteer work from the IA community to plan and staff the conference.
This gives the conference an accessible and homegrown feel. However it also presents a challenge for organizers and part-time volunteers. The conference provider, led by Vanessa Foss of Kunverj, commits to giving the organizers resources to make the conference better. One of these is the IAC Advisory Board.
The IAC Advisory Board provides a long-term counterpart to the conference co-chairs. The co-chairs serve for one year to organize the conference for that year. Two challenges for the co-chairs, and the conference in general, are lack of continuity year-to-year and long-term conference development. The advisory board focuses on these needs.
