Our Commitment
(To report a safety issue, skip to Have a Safety Concern?, below.)
At the Information Architecture Conference (IAC), we are committed to cultivating an inclusive culture that celebrates and supports diverse voices. We aim to invite, welcome, and empower attendees, volunteers, speakers, and presenters of all ages, gender identities, racial and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, physical and mental abilities, educational and professional experiences, and perspectives. By embracing these differences, we foster innovation, strengthen our connections with one another, and create a thriving community that reflects the diversity of the world we serve.
Safety
Creating an inclusive environment starts with ensuring everyone feels safe. This is at the core of our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging, and Accessibility (DEIBA) principles and aligns with our Vision and Values and Code of Conduct.
Whether in-person or virtual, it’s essential that all attendees feel safe and secure, including first-timers, seasoned attendees, students, presenters, sponsors, organizers, and volunteers. A safe space enables us to learn, grow, and enjoy our time together as a community.
Have a safety concern?
The entire IAC team is dedicated to maintaining safe spaces. If you encounter or witness a safety issue, please let us know immediately so we can address it. You have multiple options to report a safety concern:

- Email us at codeofconduct@theIAconference.com
- Contact us on Discord: #Safety-DEIB
- Reach out directly to this year’s Co-Chairs, Advisory Board, or our event planning partners at Kunverj.
- Any IAC event volunteer can also assist or direct you to the appropriate reporting options.
IAC Scholarship Program
At IAC, we believe in making the conference accessible to people from underrepresented backgrounds. The IAC Scholarship Program actively recruits and provides scholarships to students from diverse backgrounds, helping them attend the conference and take on leadership roles within the Information Architecture community.
