Graphing a Course: Aligning Knowledge Graph Demand with Limited Resourcing
Job titles for those of us who care about information storage and findability vary across organizations, but one key element our roadmaps tend to share is a mandate to improve GenAI semantic capabilities. However, practitioners struggle to overcome constraints imposed by siloed technical stacks and misaligned vocabulary for key concepts such as “taxonomy” and “ontology.” Using case study examples, this talk addresses attempts to unlock knowledge graph modeling and GraphRAG capabilities while constrained by less mature information architecture infrastructure. Attendees will learn how to identify domains in which they can exert the most influence, how to shift conversations to their advantage, and ultimately, how to build a case for increased resourcing for semantic modeling.
