Grace Lau is a Content Manager at Blue Shield of California, where she leads content strategy, information architecture, and SEO initiatives for the Digital Experience, Design & Content team. With a background in library and information studies, she’s been working in information architecture, content strategy, and taxonomy for over 17 years. Her career has also included roles at Disney, Perficient, and various healthcare organizations, where she’s specialized in creating structured, findable, and user-centered information experiences.

Grace holds a Master’s in Library and Information Studies from UCLA, specializing in informatics. She’s passionate about building and supporting the IA community: She founded DIA Design Guild, a nonprofit educational charity that helps new and transitioning UX professionals gain real-world experience through apprenticeships and mentorship programs. Grace also serves as co-president of the World Information Architecture Association and has been involved with World IA Day since 2016, first as a local Los Angeles organizer and later as Global Executive Producer.

When she’s not organizing information (or supporting the IA community), Grace enjoys spending time with her family and exploring good food around Los Angeles.
