Product Blueprints: Documenting the IA of Products

As information architects play an increasing role in product design they will need a tool for documenting a product’s information architecture.

Enter: product blueprints.

The only problem? There is no standard for how to document product IA. We’ve got site maps and flow charts and service diagrams and user journey maps. But without reliable standards for documenting product architecture product teams cannot have constructive conversations about how products serve user needs, address new use cases, and incorporate new features.

In this session, we’ll dig into the challenge and identify a recipe for product blueprints.
