Our Scholarship Program is designed to support students and professionals from underrepresented backgrounds, ensuring they have access to the opportunities and connections that will help shape their future. Our scholarship programs are made possible by our generous sponsors and the contributions of IAC attendees.
About the Program
We offer Student Equity Scholarships as well as discounted tickets—made possible through the generosity of our sponsors and the support of IAC attendees.
Discounted Ticket Rates
Students, unemployed individuals, and those experiencing financial hardship may be eligible for the following reduced rates:
- Students: Save $200 off the regular registration rate (applied directly in the registration form).
- Unemployed attendees: Save $200 (email meetings@kunverj.com for a promo code).
- Group discount: Purchase five registrations and receive a sixth registration free.
Student Equity Scholarship

The IAC Student Equity Scholarship supports students from underrepresented backgrounds in Information Architecture and UX by providing financial assistance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Scholars gain access to peer mentoring, a strong alumni network, and continuing education that helps build long-term growth and leadership in the field.
The Scholarship Program has three core goals:
- Nurture and support the professional development of emerging practitioners.
- Build a long-term network of scholars who can mentor and uplift future applicants.
- Strengthen and diversify the information architecture and user experience design communities.

Student Equity Scholars receive
- Full registration for the main conference
- Coverage of accommodation, meals, and travel expenses

Eligibility
Applicants must
- Identify as a member of one or more of these groups
- Black or African
- Hispanic or Latinx
- Indigenous, First Nation, or American Indian
- Middle Eastern or North African
- Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander
- East Asian
- South Asian
- Southeast Asian
- Be enrolled full-time or part-time in an undergraduate, graduate, or certificate program in one of these areas (or a closely related field)
- Information Architecture
- Library and Information Studies
- Human–Computer Interaction
- User Experience/Information Design
- Computer Science
Application Process
Applications are open until February 6, 2026. Recipients will be announced by March 1, 2026. Please fill the intake form which includes few background questions and two main written responses:
- What motivated you to apply for the IAC Scholarship, and what draws you to the Information Architecture Conference?
- How do you see attending IAC contributing to your career path?
(Response limit is up to 500 words per response.)
Review Process
A panel of judges from the IAC community will evaluate applications based on
- Clarity and strength of stated goals
- Evidence of potential for growth and leadership
