Sarah Fadem

Sarah Fadem is a doctoral candidate at the Rutgers School of Communication and Information. Her dissertation research focuses on the development and application of a theory of design for sense-making support for patients, carers, and providers facing high-risk medical decisions. She specializes in participatory design methods and is currently working on a sense-making support system for patients considering bone marrow transplant. Her interest in designing for health communication stems from a desire to help people to better manage their own health.
