Description
Well-mannered information architects can be found hidden away in a room constructing vocabularies, making up content models and doing whatever user analysis that gets assigned to them. This workshop is not for well-mannered information architects. It’s for the information architect who wants to get out and into the organization; to engage “upstream” with sponsors and stakeholders and fellow “downstream” contributors like designers and programmers. Come to this workshop with a project in mind and leave with a plan to storm your project team and get recognized in the enterprise!
In this workshop you will learn and practice:
- How to present yourself to project sponsors and design for them
- IA deliverables that define and guide a project
- Create IA deliverables that communicate a project idea
- How to move toward the center of any project you are in
- How to sit at the table with techies and have something significant to say
- Explore deliverables that bridge the logical world of the information architect and the physical world of implementers
