Marla Coetsee Farrand

Marla Coetsee Farrand

Current role: Speaker

Marla became an information architect by accident. She started her career as a research scientist, then slipped into data analysis and later, when it became clear that being unable to find understandable information was holding her team and her organisation back, fell into information architecture.

When she’s not driving her team of designers, developers and communication/learning specialists crazy with sticky note sessions, she likes to do yoga and is working on writing a fantasy novel.

She lives in Cape Town near the ocean.
