2018 IA Summit

Cost

$650 USD

Time(s)

March 22, 2018
9:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT

Description

Virtual Reality (VR) is everywhere right now. How can user experience professionals make the leap to this world? Together we will look at how to set the stage for prototyping immersive experiences through low- & high-fidelity methods. We will collaborate as a design thinking team to construct and understand the fundamentals of creating virtual spaces. Along the way, we will cover the challenges of control systems, platform segmentation, interaction patterns, tools, techniques and possible directions to help you on your new immersive design journey.

We will explore practical approaches to designing virtual environments, including:

  • Storytelling & Scene Setting
  • Sketching Perspective Possibilities
  • 3D Modeling (Creation, Limitations, Tools)
  • Control System
  • Platform Capabilities
  • Rapid Prototyping
