Learning About Your Users: Introduction to User Research

March 21, 2018
1:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Workshop Cost:
$350 USD

We often hear about the value of user research. Collecting data from current and potential users provides deep insight into the goal we are trying to achieve – useful and usable products. But how do we do that as part of the design and content creation process? This workshop will explore the role of user research in the UX design process. We will provide insight into the types and methods of user research, and when and why to use them. We will take a deep-dive into the critical method of interviewing, from developing a research protocol to analyzing data and making recommendations.

The workshop is accommodating to participants of all experience levels. Attendees will participate in group activities to apply the principles taught in class. Attendees will have an opportunity to role play and collect data from other participants. Finally, all attendees will create a research action plan relevant to their work.
