Is our AI future making information architecture obsolete? Of course not. Where is it critical to prioritize human experience in research and design? And how do you communicate to leadership and stakeholders the importance of making time for user research? Northwestern University Libraries conducted a comprehensive evaluation of its website by embracing foundational user research practices. Insight we gathered from low-cost, practical research helped us respond to AI hype, common stakeholder questions and concerns, and informed a completely redesigned information architecture for the website. #iac25
