Sara Sterkenburg

Sara Sterkenburg is an information architect and design strategist working in the federal civic tech space. She previously specialized in search, metadata, and ontology development for large-scale digital collections in the cultural heritage sector – including several major museums and libraries. Sara is passionate about getting back to the basics: working in data modeling to inform product IA, making things more findable and accessible, enforcing consistency through governance, and pushing for service design in enterprise environments. She loves working across product siloes to connect dots and people. In her free time, Sara gardens, listens to local music in Nashville, TN, and spends time outside with her family.
