Nadine Schaeffer is a UX Director and organic farmer. In her technical career, she has spent for over 2 decades working with Apple, Oracle, Citrix, Yahoo and dozens of startups to create usable products, effective teams and scalable design solutions. Nadine has worked in the medical, financial and consumer products industries with a focus on enterprise software. Recent projects have also included VR visualizations for surgeons, security management for commerce and the endless challenge of turning big data into useful insights.

In her not so ample free time, Nadine also owns and manages an organic fruit and flower farm, Birdsong Orchards, on the California Central Coast where she lives with her husband and a menagerie of absurdly cute animals. Growing with diversity as a goal, she has planted over 175 varieties of fruit trees to explore new and forgotten flavors while exploring growing options for a changing climate.
