Kit Soden, Ph.D., is a composer, researcher, and music educator based in Montreal, QC, Canada. He works as a postdoctoral research assistant for the Analysis, Creation, and Teaching of Orchestration (ACTOR) Project. Kit is currently collaborating on the development of new taxonomies of orchestration through the examination of orchestration treatises, systematic analyses of scores, and perception-based research, in order to develop new pedagogical methods and materials for the Timbre and Orchestration Resource.
