Using IA principles to (stay sane and) lead in a fast-changing world

IAC23

Time(s)

March 31, 2023
11:00 AM to 11:30 AM CT

Description

How do we stay resilient in a fast changing, media and tech infused world? It’s easy to get overwhelmed juggling our many responsibilities, info sources & notifications, or the many ways we might pivot our company’s strategy. We’ll talk a bit about brain chemistry & structure, this fast changing world, and then a few tools to stay resilient.

With mental fitness, we know we can’t avoid the surprises, but we can distill the insights of neuro-science, cognitive psychology, positive psychology, and performance science, into a framework and a few simple exercises to develop the “mental muscles” which limit our sabotaging behavior, channel our “inner jedi”, and help us navigate to peak performance (not to mention peace of mind, and better relationships).

About the speakers

Rachel E Patterson
Rachel E Patterson

Rachel E Patterson is a Chicago Booth MBA with heart, who’s lived and/or worked in 12 countries and always been fascinated by the underlying beliefs in each system design, how that affects what people do and how…and whether the structure unlocks or limits people’s potential. She is a Coach-Consultant on SMB leadership, sustainability & resilience – helping the businesses and their leaders navigate change and grow ethically. She’s been fascinated by neuroscience, and by the alphabet soup of corporate citizenship since ~2005 (ask about her 24-article series & upcoming interviews with CxOs at www.medium.com/@rpatter3 ), and is also an avid jazz singer and international/diverse community builder. www.glocalconsultantsgroup.com
