Aid for Federal Workers Scholarship (AFWS)

Home/IAC25 Scholarships / Aid for Federal Workers Scholarship (AFWS)

The Information Architecture Conference (IAC) stands with our community during times of change. Recent federal workforce layoffs and contract terminations have deeply impacted professionals across industries.

To support those affected, IAC25 is doing the following:

  • Scholarships: We have launched the Aid for Federal Workers Scholarship (AFWS)—a new initiative providing an opportunity to reconnect, explore new career paths, and engage with industry peers at IAC25. We have chosen our scholarship winner for IAC and look forward to having them join our community.
  • Resource Sharing: We also have resources that we are collecting to support those in our community. The resources can be found on this page. You are welcome to share more resources with us using this form.
  • Career Center at IAC25: The Career Center is a dedicated space where you can connect with mentors, receive career guidance, and enhance your professional presence.

About the AFWS

The Aid for Federal Workers Scholarship helps individuals navigate career transitions, build connections, and stay engaged with the IA and UX community.

We have picked a scholarship winner and look forward to welcoming them to our community.
