Emily Ryan is a cross-functional technologist with over 25 years of experience in both public and private sectors as a designer, full stack developer, and user researcher. In 2020, she became a Presidential Innovation Fellow at the DOJ, working on initiatives like ADA.gov and in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General. In 2022, she returned to the private sector, where she now leads the Experience Practice Area at ICF Next, encompassing UX, research, content strategy, and data analytics. She holds a B.F.A. in Graphic Design from James Madison University, an M.A. in Criminal Law from George Washington University, and is completing her M.A. in Government from Harvard Extension School. She lives in in Washington, DC  and in her free time, she enjoys running with her two Vizslas.
