Rashmi Sinha is an entrepreneur, designer, and cognitive scientist best known as the co-founder and former CEO of SlideShare, which she launched in 2006. Under her leadership, SlideShare grew into one of the world’s leading platforms for professional content sharing and was acquired by LinkedIn in 2012. Post-acquisition, Rashmi continued to lead SlideShare as a LinkedIn business unit, collaborating closely with the executive team to ensure strategic alignment across platforms. Originally trained as a cognitive psychologist, Rashmi holds a Ph.D. from Brown University. Her journey into entrepreneurship was fueled by a deep interest in designing technology and bringing ideas to life—what she describes as the “easiest way to make an idea come alive.” She has since founded and advised multiple startups, combining her background in science, user-centered design, and product strategy. Her areas of expertise include startups, social software, user experience design, and product management.
