Your IAC 2019 co-chairs have all been active members of the IA community for years. Each one of them has a long history of volunteering for past IA and UX conferences. Adam Polansky has been attending this event since the first one in Boston. A regular presenter, he took-on coordinating and creating the Speaker Support Program in 2011, which has helped improve the programs each year by helping speakers prepare in the weeks leading-up to the Conference and by building speaker confidence in the hours before they present. A long-time practitioner, Adam has worked for both large organizations and agencies where he helped shape UX programs for clients such as Texas Instruments, Starwood Hotels, Travelocity and Animal Supply Company. He’s not new to staging events as he is one of the co-founders of the Big Design Conference in Dallas and supports the speakers at Enterprise UX each year. As Co-Chair this year, Adam is responsible for curation, sponsorship and speaker support. He lives North of Dallas in McKinney, Texas with his family and presently, he is a Lead Strategist at Bottle Rocket Studios in Dallas.

Amy Jiménez Márquez is the UX manager of the Alexa Personality Experience Design team at Amazon in Seattle, WA. She’s also one of the publishers of Boxes and Arrows, an online publication devoted to the practice, innovation, and discussion of design. She’s been a UX professional since the late 1990s, working in both corporate and freelance settings. With a Master’s degree in Directing, Amy has also been performing improvisational comedy for over 20 years, and enjoys applying improv collaboration techniques to her daily work. Amy has been a member of this event’s community for several years. She has volunteered on the conference’s social media team since 2013, she spoke at the 2015 IA Summit, hosted several first-timer dinners, has met some wonderful friends through Karaoke Night and Acoustic Jam Night, and showed her true colors playing Skull on Game Night. She’s honored to be able to give back to a community that has been so supportive. For IAC19, Amy is leading the website, content, marketing, and social media teams.

Bibiana is a Venezuelan electronic engineer turned UXer living in Mexico City. She has specialized in information architecture for the past 8 years working in consultancy agencies, leading eCommerce in adidas Mexico, and sharing her learnings with the community. In 2016 she translated Abby Covert’s “How to Make Sense of Any Mess” in Spanish and has contributed to the development of the UX community in Mexico. She was a speaker in the 2014 edition of the IA Summit in San Diego, volunteer since 2013, led the first timers experience in 2017 and 2018, and has not missed a karaoke session since her first time in Baltimore in 2013. For IAC19 Bibiana will be leading the experience part of the conference: logistics, events, food, diversity and inclusion will be part of her responsibilities.
