Design professionals aren’t one-dimensional beings. We’re well-rounded individuals, with loads of disparate interests. The IA conference (IAC) honors this fact with mixers and activities aimed at the more creative, social side of our attendees. And, to be honest, what better way is there to network than to just cut loose and have fun with 300 of your new best friends in a low-stress, low-pressure atmosphere?
Registered attendees for the main conference will receive information about how to sign up for these social activities 2 weeks prior, 1 week prior, and throughout the conference in daily emails and on Discord.
Attendees can pick a topic table to jump into on Remo to meet new friends and talk about. Topics to be announced.
Are you ready to test your mind, body, and spirit? Do you dream of language, classification, and dangerous things? If so, you might be ready for this try-athlon led by the authors of the “polar bear book”, Peter Morville, Lou Rosenfeld, and Jorge Arango.
If you’re ready to emerge from winter hibernation and push your endurance beyond the limits, register now before you come to your senses.
Bring out your inner gamer with popular board and card games. Learn some new games or play old favorites while you make new friends.
An informal sharing time of awesomeness. After the last keynote and conference closing, anyone is welcome to come on stage to share anything they like. It’s an amazing time where you can feel the IAC community togetherness. People share what the conference means to them, tell stories, do interpretive dance, explain ways to get more involved with the IA community – you name it, it’s shared during 5-minute madness. Not to be missed!
